Under the thoughtful and dynamic visionary leadership of Executive Director Carla DuPree, The CityLit Project brings readers and writers together while opening vital pathways for diverse voices to be heard and amplified. The 23rd Annual Baltimore’s CityLit Festival takes place April 11th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Maryland Center for History and Culture. This free, day-long celebration of literature is open to all, and no registration is required to attend the workshops.
This year’s theme, “Bearing Witness: Literature as a Revolutionary Act,”highlights the essential role of writers in documenting the truth, challenging dominant narratives, and building platforms to speak out. Attendees can enjoy a lineup of author readings, book signings, panel discussions, workshops, and a Literary Marketplace.
We are presenting an interactive workshop for writers age 50 and above, welcoming all genres and experience levels. Join us from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Maryland Center for History and Culture on April 11th, as we celebrate the value of our voices.
